Abstract

This case study is motivated by the increasing incidence of stroke in Indonesia, Al Ihsan Hospital, stroke is included in the top 10, stroke cases in 2018 at Al Ihsan Hospital reached 658 patients. Stroke is a supply of blood flow due to a blockage in the brain, resulting in a neurological deficit. The purpose of mobilization is to improve neurological function through physical therapy such as joint range of motion exercises and bed mobilization. Methods of data collection through observation, interviews, physical examination and documentation carried out for 6 consecutive days. Conclusion: the patient experienced weakness in the upper and lower extremities on the left and felt dizzy, and could not perform ADLs independently, so that a diagnosis of physical mobility barriers was obtained, the patient was given implementation with the results of implementing mobilization carried out for 6 days showing no increase in patient mobilization but there was an increase in the ROM (Range of Motion) joint range of motion exercises from the beginning on the upper left limb with a scale of 0 increasing to 1, and in the lower left limb from the beginning on a scale of 0 increasing to 1. It was found that the patient could not mobilize properly independently and still assisted by his family based on the Barthel index measurement tool, the patient's total score is at 15 (total dependence), as well as mobilization exercises in the range of motion of the joints can increase muscle strength. For families who have stroke sufferers, it is hoped that they can apply mobilization as an independent effort and be able to increase stiffness and muscle strength so that it does not decrease.
