Abstract

TINJAUAN TEORITIS PENGGUNAAN SIKAT GIGI BERBULU SIKAT ZIG-ZAG DIKOMBINASIKAN DENGAN TEKNIK MENYIKAT GIGI MODIFIKASI BASS TERHADAP PENURUNAN PLAK Sita Dwi Martia Ningrum 1, Hera Nurnaningsih 2 ABSTRAK Latar Belakang Masalah : Kesehatan merupakan bagian penting dalam kehidupan semua orang, tidak terkecuali anak-anak. Setiap orang tua menginginkan anaknya tumbuh dan berkembang secara optimal, hal ini dapat dicapai jika tubuh mereka sehat yaitu meliputi kesehatan umum dan kesehatan gigi serta mulutnya. Salah satu cara untuk menjaga kesehatan gigi yaitu dengan cara menyikat gigi. Untuk mendapatkan hasil penyikatan optimal perlu memperhatikan pemakaian sikat gigi yang sesuai yaitu permukaan bulu sikat serta teknik menyikat gigi yang digunakan. Tujuan : Diketahuinya tinjauan teoritis penggunaan sikat gigi berbulu sikat zig-zag dikombinasikan dengan teknik menyikat gigi modifikasi bass terhadap penurunan plak. Metode : Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian analisis literatur, dengan mengkaji dan menganalisis dari bahan tertulis atau berdasarkan konteksnya. Penelitian analisis literatur ini bersifat pembahasan mendalam terhadap isi suatu informasi tertulis berdasarkan teori dan hasil penelitian orang lain yang sejenis yang dimuat oleh para peneliti yang berkompeten dibidangnya dan dipublikasikan dalam jurnal, buku atau referensi yang terakreditasi. Hasil : Setelah meninjau hasil literatur, berdasarkan teori tentang bulu sikat zig-zag dan teknik modifikasi bass, dari teori tersebut dibuktikan dengan hasil penelitian yang menyatakan bahwa bulu sikat zig-zag dan teknik modifikasi bass efektif dalam penurunan plak. Kesimpulan : Berdasarkan hasil studi literatur ini, maka secara teoritis bahwa kombinasi antara penggunaan sikat gigi dengan bulu sikat zig-zag dan teknik menyikat gigi modifikasi bass akan lebih efektif dalam penurunan plak. Every parents want their children to grow and develop optimally, this can be achieved if their body is healthy which includes general health and oral health. One way to maintain dental health is by brushing teeth. To get optimal brushing results, it is necessary to pay attention to the use of an appropriate toothbrush, the surface of the bristle brush and the brushing technique used. Aim : Knowing literature review of the using tooth brushing zig-zag bristle combined with modified bass technique against plaque reduction. Methods : Type of this research is analysis of the literature, by reviewing and analyzing of written materials or based on the context. Research analysis of the literature is in-depth discussion of the contents of a written information based on the theory and similar research results of others published by the researchers who are competent in their field and published in journals, books or reference accredited. Result : After reviewing the results of the literature, based on the theory of zig-zag brush bristles and modified bass technique, the theory is proven by the results of research that states zig-zag brush bristles and modified bass technique are effective in decreasing plaque. Then theoretically it can be concluded the use of zig-zag brush bristles will make the modified bass technique more effective. Conclusion : Based on the results of this literature study, then theoretically, the combination of the use of a toothbrush with zig-zag bristles and modified bass techniques would be more effective in reducing plaque.
