Abstract

HUBUNGAN ANTARA USIA DAN MASA KERJATERHADAP KADAR TIMBAL DALAM DARAH MEKANIK BENGKEL SEPEDA MOTOR Syifaussabilah P17334116447 ABSTRAK Polusi logam berat termasuk timbal (Pb), merupakan masalah yang serius di negara maju maupun negara berkembang, seperti Indonesia. Timbal dapat terakumulasi di dalam tubuh suatu organisme, dan tetap tinggal dalam jangka waktu lama sebagai racun. Pemeriksaan timbal dalam darah merupakan jenis diagnosis yang sangat berguna untuk melihat paparan timbal pada seseorang. Menurut American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) pada tahun 2018, indeks paparan biologis untuk Pb dalam darah pekerja yang terpajan adalah 20 µg/dL atau setara dengan 0,2 ppm. Bengkel reparasi sepeda motor merupakan salah satu sumber pemaparan timbal, khususnya bagi mekanik bengkel. Palar (2008) mengungkapkan, bahwa hasil penelitian yang dilakukan di Negara Cincinati pada kelompok sampel pengawal bengkel servis didapatkan 28 µg/dL (0,28 ppm) darah dan pada mekanik 38 µg/dL (0,38 ppm) darah, dimana kedua hasil tersebut dapat dikategorikan tinggi karena melebihi indeks paparan biologis yang telah ditentukan oleh ACGIH. Beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhi kadar timbal dalam darah adalah usia dan masa kerja dimana kedua faktor tersebut memiliki hubungan terhadap kadar timbal dalam darah. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain studi literatur dengan menggunakan data sekunder (kuesioner) dan data-data yang didapatkan dari jurnal artikel, atau penelitian-penelitian sebelumnya yang berhubungan dengan topik penelitian. Dari hasil pengolahan data-data yang didapatkan, dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan antara usia dan masa kerja terhadap kadar timbal dalam darah seseorang yang memiliki pekerjaan yang rentan terpapar timbal, salah satunya adalah mekanik bengkel sepeda motor. Hubungan tersebut memiliki arah yang positif, yaitu berbanding lurus. Kata Kunci : Timbal, mekanik, bengkel sepeda motor, usia, masa kerja, darah. Lead can accumulate in the body of an organism, and remain in a long period of time as toxins. The lead test in the blood is a type of diagnosis that is very useful for viewing lead exposure in a person. According to the American Conference of Governmental Industrial Hygienists (ACGIH) in 2018, the biological exposure index for Pb in the blood of exposed workers is 20 μg/dL or equivalent to 0.2 ppm. Motorcycle Repair Workshops are one of the sources of lead exposure, especially for workshop mechanics. Palar (2008) revealed that the results of research conducted in the state of the Cincinati in the sample group of service workshops were obtained 28 μg/dL (0.28 ppm) of blood and in mechanical 38 μg/dL (0.38 ppm) of blood, where both of these results could be categorized as high because it exceeded the biological exposure index determined by ACGIH. Some factors that affect the level of lead in the blood are age and work period. Where these factors have a relationship to the level of lead in the blood; the study used the design of literary studies using secondary data (questionnaires) and data obtained from article journals, or previous studies relating to research topics. From the results of the processing of the data obtained, it can be concluded that there is a relationship between the age and work period to the level of lead in the blood of a person who has a work vulnerable to lead, one of which is a motorcycle workshop mechanic.
