Abstract

ABSTRACT Laboratory tests consist of three stages i.e. pre-analytic, analytical and post-analytical. In the pre-analytical of hemolysis is the most common error. Hemolysis can affect almost to test of clinical laboratory, that is one of creatinine test. This research to aims knowing the lowest hemoglobin concentrate that can interfere with the creatinine test and to knowing the correlation between variation hemoglobin concentrate with creatinine. The research method used is the quasi experiment. It using three different serum samples, which every sample to added hemolysat with five variations of hemoglobin concentrate. Every sample to creatinine test with Jaffe Reaction method. The results of increased creatinine with amount increased hemoglobin concentrate. The correlation coefficient test, the variation hemoglobin concentrate has strongest correlation with creatinine. Conclusion, the lowest hemoglobin concentrate that can interfere with the test of creatinine is 160 mg/dL to get TE 33% > TEa 15% and the correlation coefficient in the range of 0.91-0.99 which is there is strongest correlation between variations of hemoglobin concentrate with creatinine.
