Abstract

This case study is motivated by the high incidence of sectio caesarea in Indonesia. Mothers who experience cesarea section give birth through a cut in the abdominal wall (laparatomy) and uterine wall (hysterectomy). This causes severe pain. The management carried out by the author in reducing patient pain is the application ofearly mobilization. The case study used a descriptive case study design. The subjects used were postoperative sectio caesarea patients with pain disorders. Data collection methods through observation, interviews, physical examination, and documentation. The results of the application of early mobilization carried out for 3 days at the hospital and 2 days carried out by home visit showed that there was a decrease in pain in postoperative sectio caesarea patients. Conclusion: The application of early mobilization in postoperative sectio caesarea patients is able to reduce pain. For mothers who experience postoperative sectio caesarea, it is expected to apply early mobilization as an independent effort that can be done to reduce pain.
