NURSING CARE FOR NY. N AND NY. A WITH POST SECTIO CAESAREA THROUGH THE APPLICATION OF HAND AND FOOT MASSAGE IN THE SITI KHADIJAH ROOM RSUD AL-IHSAN

The most prevalent cause of death is pregnancy complications. Pregnancy or childbirth with complications is generally performed by Sectio Cesarea (SC). SC usually causes pain. Pain can be managed with pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies. The therapy that can be done is the hand and foot massage technique. This case study aims to determine the results of the analysis of the application of hand and foot massage to reduce the pain scale of post-SC patients. The case study method used is a descriptive approach. The measuring instrument used in this case study is the Numeric Rating Scale (NRS). The results of the case study illustrate that the application of hand and foot massage interventions is effective in reducing pain in post-sectio caesarea patients. The author recommends that postpartum nurses apply hand and foot massage techniques in nursing care to reduce pain.
