Abstract

ABSTRACT

In 2018, patients with chronic kidney disease (CHD) in Indonesia was approximately 713,783 cases and 132,142 of them underwent active hemodialysis therapy. Hemodialysis therapy is performed regularly throughout his life, so that it has a physical and psychological influence on the patient. Therefore, the patient undergoing hemodialysis therapy needs the support of the people around him to be able to free himself from the burden of his illness and his treatment. The aim of this study is to identify the link between social support and self-acceptance in PGK patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at the Hemolife Primary clinic. The study uses a correlative descriptive model with a cross-sectional approach with 50 respondents. Social support questionnaires using the Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MSPSS) and the Self Acceptance Scale (SAS). Spearman Rho's statistical test is used as data analysis. The results is showed that in PGK patients undergoing hemodialysis therapy at Hemolife Primary Clinic there was a social support ratio to self-acceptance, with a P-value of 0,000 (α = 0.05), moderate correlation and positive direction. (0,515). This means that the higher the social support, the greater the self-acceptance of the patient. Based on these results, it is expected to be the basis for scientific information in the field of nursing and the presence of enhanced social care for patients with PGK.

ABSTRAK

Pada tahun 2018, terdapat 713.783 orang di Indonesia yang mengidap Penyakit Ginjal Kronis atau PGK. Dari jumlah tersebut, 132.142 di antaranya rutin menjalani perawatan terapi hemodialisa. Perawatan ini mempunyai efek fisik dan psikologis pada pasien. Seseorang yang menjalani terapi hemodialisa memerlukan dukungan dari orang-orang di sekitar mereka untuk membantu mengatasi tantang penyakit dan pengobatan mereka. Tujuan studi ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara dukungan sosial dan penerimaan diri pasien PGK yang menjalani terapi hemodialisa di Klinik Utama Hemolife. Desain penelitian cross-sectional termasuk dalam penelitian deskriptif korelasional. Menggunakan total sampling yang berarti sampel sesuai populasi yaitu 50 responden. Instrumen Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Sosial Suport (MSPSS) pada variabel dukungan sosial dan instrumen Self Acceptance Scale (SAS) pada variabel penerimaan diri digunakan sebagai alat ukur penelitian. Uji statistik Spearman rho digunakan sebagai analisis data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan dukungan sosial dengan penerimaan diri pasien PGK yang menjalani terapi hemodialisa di Klinik Utama Hemolife. Didapatkan nilai p-value 0,000 (α = 0,05), korelasi sedang dengan arah positif (0,515). Semakin banyak dukungan sosial, semakin besar penerimaa diri pasien. Diharapkan informasi ini membantu profesional kesehatan dalam perawat pasien PGK dengan lebih baik dan adanya peningkatan kepedulian sosial terhadap pasien PGK.
