Abstract

This case study is motivated by the increasing incidence of gout arthritis in Indonesia. The prevalence rate of gouty arthritis increases with increasing age and risk factors caused by excessive intake of purine compounds, by consuming foods with high purine content. Because it attacks the joints, people affected by gout will complain of pain and difficulty moving their bodies. Problems with impaired physical mobility will occur if there is an inability of the family to care for family members with gout arthritis. The purpose of this case study is to provide an overview of nursing care for Mr B's family with impaired physical mobility to Mrs E due to gout arthritis in RW 03, Dungus Cariang Village, Working Area of ​​Garuda Health Center, Bandung City and nursing care was carried out for 4 days from 12-15 April 2023. Study This case uses descriptive method. The results of the case study showed an increase in physical mobility with leg muscle strength values ​​from 3 to 4 and a decrease in uric acid levels from 7.6 mg/dL to 6.8 mg/dL in clients after family nursing care, especially passive and active ROM interventions. It is recommended for community health program nurses to be able to intervene in violations of gout arthritis clients by implementing passive and active ROM to increase muscle strength and improve physical mobility.
