Abstract

NURSING CARE OF BRONCOPNEUMONIA PATIENTS WITH OXYGENATION FULFILLMENT DISORDERS IN THE FLAMBOYAN ROOM OF BANDUNG CITY HOSPITAL 2023 ABSTRACT 89 pages, 5 chapters, 4 tables, 1 pictures, 7 attachment Pneumonia is already one of the top causes of death in the world. In 2019, more than 2.5 million people died due to pneumonia. The background for this case study is the incidence of pneumonia in Indonesia, which is 1,017,290. Pneumonia is inflammation of the lungs usually caused by bacteria or viruses. Symptoms of pneumonia are usually coughing, shortness of breath, fever and decreased appetite. Complications of bronchopneumonia include pulmonary atelectasis, lung abscess, emphysema, endocarditis and meningitis. The purpose of this case study is to provide nursing care to pneumonia patients who experience impaired oxygenation fulfillment by performing semi-Fowler's position, deep breathing relaxation exercises and effective coughing at Bandung City Hospital. This case study method uses the case study method in descriptive form. The case study was carried out for 5 days on April 14- 19 2023. The results of this case study showed an increase in the fulfillment of oxygenation in patients' airway clearance after 4 days of implementing effective coughing, deep breathing and semi-Fowler's position. So it can be concluded that the application of effective coughing, deep breathing and semiFowler's position can improve airway clearance, oxygen saturation and respiration rate in patients. It is recommended that patients can perform effective coughing and deep breathing routinely and independently to improve the patient's airway clearance besides drinking lots of water also needs attention. For future authors, it is hoped that this case study can be used as comparative data in the application of other nursing care. Keyword : Bronchopneumonia, Nursing care, fulfillment of oxygenation.
