Abstract

LBW babies are babies with a birth weight of less than 2500 grams regardless of gestational age, babies with LBW have a risk of being susceptible to disease, a range of experiencing failure of vital organs function and even the risk of death.The purpose of this case is to Conduct Nursing Care for LBW Babies at Al-Ihsan Hospital, West Java Province. This case is a case that uses a descriptive design.By using the Nursing Care approach which is carried out 5x24 hours. The problems found include: 1. Ineffective breathing pattern 2. Nutritional Deficit. The focus of airway management and nutrition management interventions. This conclusion is from the 5 diagnoses in Mrs. A obtained 2 diagnoses partially achieved and 3 diagnoses resolved. It is hoped that from the case that have been carried out, the community can better understand and know how to care for LBW babies, and be able to recognize the factors that cause LBW babies.
