Abstract
This case study is motivated by the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) in Indonesia is among the ten countries with the highest IMR in the world and the coverage of breastfeeding in West Java in 2021 was (76.46%) this figure has not reached the national target of 80%. Mothers who give birth by sectio caesarea often experience problems in breastfeeding due to inadequate milk production. Breastfeeding obstacles that occur in post SC mothers are caused by a decrease in oxytocin and prolactin hormones that play a role in the smooth production of breast milk. The purpose of this case study is to describe nursing care for Post Sectio Caesarea mothers with Ineffective Breastfeeding Problems in the Postpartum Room of Al-Ihsan Hospital, West Java Province. The actions taken by the author are in accordance with the Indonesian Nursing Intervention Standards (SIKI), one of which is breast care and education regarding correct breastfeeding techniques. This case study uses descriptive methods with data collection through interviews, observation, physical examination and documentation. The results of the nursing care case study on Mrs. I after treatment for 2 days at the Hospital 3 days Home Visit found that the client could breastfeed her baby with the right and correct techniques. It can be concluded that breast care management is able to overcome the problem of ineffective breastfeeding. It is recommended to the nursing profession to be able to perform breast care actions and provide breastfeeding education to post partum caesarean mothers.
