Abstract
The background of this case study is the high incidence of mental disorders based on Riskesdas data. Mental disorders have increased, from 1.3 per 1000 population in 2013 to 7 per 1000 population in 2018. Hallucinations are ranked second out of the top three highest diagnoses in the Asylum of West Java Province after social isolation and self-care deficit. Data from the West Java Provincial Hospital in 2022 hallucinations totaled 3,016 cases (West Java Province Hospital, 2022). This case study aims to apply nursing care to patients with auditory hallucinations. Collecting data in this case study is by observing, interviewing, physical examination and documentation study. For the diagnosis of sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations, interventions that are carried out are building trusting relationships, helping to recognize hallucinations, helping to control hallucinations in 5 ways, planning daily activities in the hospital and at home, helping to participate in group activity therapy (TAK), introducing patients about the benefits and side effects of drugs, and help families in caring for patients at home. The results of the case study by carrying out nursing care for 7 days the patient can control his hallucinations and the family can care for the patient at home. It is suggested to the nurse to involve the person closest to the patient during the nursing process. Key words: Hallucinations, Auditory Halusinations
