Abstract

Asthma has become a global health problem that affects all age groups and is increasing. The causes of asthma are very diverse from various factors ranging from extrinsic factors, intrinsic factors, physical factors, and emotional factors. Asthma is characterized by symptoms such as coughing, shortness of breath, wheezing, and increased sputum. Increased sputum can cause ineffective airway clearance problems. One of the nursing actions for families to overcome asthma symptoms includes effective coughing techniques and simple inhalation. This case study aims to describe the Nursing Care of Mr. S's Family with Ineffective AIrway Cleansing in An. A due to asthma in Rw 04 Garuda Village, Garuda Health Center Working Area, Bandung City. This case study uses descriptive methods. The results of the case study show that the application of effective cough techniques and simple inhalation can overcome the problem of ineffective airway clearance. It is recommended for public health program nurses to perform and encourage families to provide effective coughing techniques and simple inhalation to overcome the problem of ineffective airway clearance.
