Abstract

This case study is motivated by the incidence of Gout Arthritis in West Java who managed to occupy the first position or as many as 11.681 people. The nursing problem that arises as a result of Gout Arthritis is Sleep Pattern Disorder with a prevalence of 4,9%. This case study aims to provide care nursing in Ny.S with Sleep Pattern Disorder due to Gout Arthritis at Elderly Home J.Soenarti Nasution. The case study method used is descriptive through nursing care approach. Methods of data collection by physical examination, observation and interview. From the results of these studies that has been done to obtain BP: 110/80 mmHg, HR: 98x/minute, T: 36.2ºC, R: 20x/minute, reddened eyes, enlarged eye bags, concentration decreased, eyes look sleepy, Mrs.S often yawns in the morning and evening. After being given a foot massage, soak your feet using warm water and deep breathing relaxation according to the intervention was carried out 7 times visits, the PSQI score decreased from 12 to 5. Results of the case study, problem can be solved, but it is recommended for nursing homes do reflexology, soak your feet using warm water and deep breathing relaxation,as well as increasing coorperation with the Karang Setra Health Center in treating Gout Arthritis patients with Sleep Pattern Disorder.
