Abstract

Heart disease is hight becaues of dead wordwide. High mortality rate of heart failure is influenced by the low. Quality heart failure patien can improve, wich with suport the family. This study, aim determin relations between family suport and quality live in congestive heart failure patients. Researchers used a cross-sectional study design. Sampling using purposive sampling technique. The sample size was 90 respondents. The instruments used were Nursalam's family support questionnaire and the MLHFQ (Minnesota Living with Heart Failure Questionnaire) quality of life questionnaire which has been tested for validity. Study results Most congestive heart failure patients have an age range of 56 – 65 years (41.1%), male (57%), high school education (51%), not working (60%), and heart failure more than 1 year (82%). There was a significant association between family support and quality of life (p-value 0.010 and OR=5.7). Family support improved the quality of life of congestive heart failure patients by 5.7 times. Recommendations are intended for nurse provide patiens regarding good activities carried out for patients with congestive heart failure to improve the quality of life of patients for the better.
