Abstract
Abstract Implementation of practicum exams has an impact on the psychological state of students’s feelings of anxiety about failing to pass. Students experience stress both during the period before the exam and during the exam. The main stressors are academic pressure and the exam itself. This can cause anxiety in students and is referred to as academic anxiety. This study aims to determine the effect of nutmeg consumption on the level of anxiety of students who will carry out laboratory practical exams. This research is a quantitative study using a quasi experimental method with a post test one group design approach. The number of respondents in this study was 30 people. The hypothesis of this study is that consumption of nutmeg can reduce the anxiety level of students who will carry out laboratory exams. There is a significant difference between anxiety scores before and after the intervention of consuming nutmeg seed powder (p value 0.0001). The suggestion of nutmeg seeds with a certain dose can be used as a complementary nursing intervention in overcoming student anxiety about the exam.
