Abstract

One of the efforts used to improve the quality of family planning services is to ensure the use of family planning services for health workers including infection prevention. The SUSENAS 2015 results illustrate the high percentage of modern Contraceptive users of 58.99% including IUDs and implants, with government KB clinics as health facilities providing family planning services of 66.40%. One of the efforts to support the increase of users of contraceptive Implants and IUD in Karawang district is done through IUD KB Safari and implant. This study aims to determine the determinants of midwife behavior in the application of standard precautions on implanted contraceptive services, including the variable of knowledge, attitude, infrastructure and supervision. The design in this research using observational analytic with crossectional approach. The number of sample is 46 respondents midwives who perform KB service implant on the activity of KB Safari at community health center in Karawang district, by purposive random sampling. Test analysis using Chi Square on degrees of significance α <0.05; confidence interval (95% CI) and Bynary Logistic Regression test for multivariable test. The results showed good knowledge 63%, midwife attitude 54,3%, good infrastructure 63% and supervision 50%. There is a significant relationship between the availability of infrastructure (p = 0,000) and supervision (p = 0,003). The result of multivariable analysis shows that infrastructure variable has an effect on midwife behavior in the application of standard awareness on contraceptive service in Karawang regency (pvalue = 0,005; (Exponen (B) = 20,77.
