Abstract
The high incidence of breast cancer in Indonesia is 16.7% of the total 348,809 cancer cases. In 2020 at Al-Ihsan Regional Hospital, West Java Province, breast cancer was included in the top 10 diseases in outpatient settings, namely 1,136 cases. One of the emotional reactions experienced by breast cancer patients is concern about side effects during chemotherapy. This worry causes the patient to experience anxiety. To reduce anxiety in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy, complementary therapy can be given, namely SEFT (Spritual Emotional Freedom Technique). This case study aims to apply nursing care to breast cancer patients who are undergoing chemotherapy through the SEFT procedure. The case study method uses a descriptive method for two patients with breast cancer undergoing chemotherapy. The measuring instrument used in this case study is HARS (Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale), then SEFT therapy is carried out which includes 3 stages including: set-up, tune-in and tapping carried out for 30 minutes carried out once a day for 3 days then carried out an evaluation by measuring the level of anxiety after the intervention. Results: The results of this case study show that with the SEFT intervention, the level of anxiety in breast cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy decreased, in Mrs. S before the action scored 35 severe anxiety and after the action a score of 24 moderate anxiety, while Mrs. E before the action a score of 34 severe anxiety and after the action a score of 23 moderate anxiety. Conclusion: SEFT can reduce anxiety levels. Suggestion: SEFT can be considered for services as a complementary measure in reducing anxiety levels.
