Abstract
ABSTRACT This case study is motivated by the incidence of breast cancer at Al-Ihsan Hospital in West Java Province that breast cancer cases increased from 2015 which amounted to 143 cases at Al-Ihsan Bandung Hospital and increased by 235 cases in 2017 with a total of 378 cases.In breast cancer patients usually experience physical and psychological changes as a result of the disease and treatment experienced. This condition makes breast cancer patients experience shame, lack of confidence, negative feelings towards themselves. These physical changes will affect the self-esteem of breast cancer patients. This case study aims to determine the nursing care of self-esteem in breast cancer patients at Al-Ihsan Hospital, West Java Province. This scientific paper uses a descriptive method with a case study approach using nursing care starting from assessment, nursing diagnosis, nursing planning, nursing implementation and evaluation. The diagnoses found were situational low self-esteem, body image disturbance and acute pain. The results of the case study show that after five days of nursing care implementation can increase the patient's self-esteem or make the patient feel valuable. It is hoped that the next author can provide comprehensive nursing care to deal with and provide nursing care to patients with situational low self-esteem with breast cancer so that the results obtained are more optimal.
